 The Choregies d’Orange

 

Since 1971, this festival is specialized in lyrical art, giving to the city an international glamour and a world-wide reputation. This festival takes place every year from the end of July to the beginning of August. Two or three operas and symphonic concerts are offered to lyrical art’s amateurs. The most famous performers have played on this mythical stage, known as the Antique Theatre.
Spectators from the whole world come to Orange to attend the Choregies. It is one of the most important events of the summer in Orange. At dinner time, restaurants’ terraces near the Antique Theatre are full.
