‘Le Naturoptère’ is a centre for the Culture of Natural Sciences. Situated in an environmentally-sensitive building that is both unusual and welcoming, the site is a stone’s throw away from the house of the French humanist and naturalist Jean-Henri Fabre, which is otherwise known as ‘L’Harmas’. ‘Le Naturoptère’ is host to exhibitions dedicated to Jean-Henri Fabre, nature, insects and biodiversity. Throughout the year there are activities for school parties (upon reservation) and, during the school holiday period, for the general public. ‘Le Naturoptère’ is open from 9am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and from 1.30pm to 6pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets for entry into both ‘Le Naturoptère’ and the ‘L’Harmas’ are available. Nearby parking is available, as well as an outdoor picnic area.

Residence of the famous entomologist for the last 36 years of his life. This “place of memories” was dedicated for the first time in France to a naturalist and to natural history.
